Welcome to Newburyport Owl

From ancient Greece to modern day, the owl has been associated with knowledge and wisdom. Owls are both respected and feared. They possess remarkable vision and hearing. They can see in the dark when others can’t. They have an uncanny ability to twist their heads as much as 270 degrees left or right.

Owls are most often calm and patient observers.  As an old English nursery rhyme says:

           A wise old owl sat on an oak;
           The more he saw the less he spoke;
           The less he spoke the more he heard;
           Why aren’t we like that wise old bird?

The Newburyport Owl is watching, listening and wondering. The Newburyport Owl may not be all that wise but he gives a hoot about Newburyport. Every now and then, the Newburyport Owl swoops in and speaks out in hopes of being helpful.
